Welcome to Miss Seveska's 4th grade blog!  This year will be your child's most exciting year yet!  On this website, you will find useful links that pertain to all of the subjects/topics we study in class throughout the year.  Feel free to use these for additional skill practice if you'd like!  I am also going to post daily homework assignments and upcoming assessments on here in case student's forget. As special events come up during the school year (picture day, special lunch, assembly, field trip, etc.) I will post the information on this website as well.

First Week

Hello!

I'm so excited to meet all of my new students tomorrow and to start off the upcoming school year!  This week we are going to spend a lot of time getting to know one another, learning and practicing expectations and navigating around the classroom.  We are going to dive right into our first unit in math, place value and rounding.  In language arts, we are going to read a novel called Jake Drake, and practice summarizing and identifying story elements. The kids will have their specials all week so please remember to bring gym shoes and an art smock.  I look forward to a wonderful first week!
